February 2010 coming your way...what's happening at the Grote Markt / PopHotSpot?

While there's snow and cold outside, the Grote Markt / PopHotSpot brings you all the warmth, cosiness and comfort you need. It's February and still some time
to go before we head into spring and then summer.

What's happening this month? Well there's our weekly Jazz-nights at Cafe September and the Salsa-nights at De Boterwaag every Wednesday.

Friday 12 February brings a special Turkish artist to the stage of De Zwarte Ruiter; Onur Ataman (pictured right), for all of you who are into fusion.
 

Saturday 13 February prepares the SuperMarkt-stage for some fine rock from Bombay Showpig, Hybernation and Miss Pussy (that's right!). The Hague's finest pop-band
Naked plays at The September on Thursday 18 February, while the Rising Magma Night sets the SuperMarkt-stage into heave rock mode on Friday 19 February, with performances from Jud and Colossa. For those of you who are in to 'Beat'; you are welcome for a dance at The Amsterdam Beatclub (Saturday 20 February / Supermarkt). Last but not least go check out The Sinner Sinners (horror-rock) and The Rebel Assholes, who play the Supermarkt on Friday 26 February. So again, so much for you to enjoy at the Grote Markt!

The Grote Markt is the place to be if it is music, dancing or simply winding down and relaxing with friends over dinner and drinks.

Situated in the citycenter of The Hague, you will find a very special 'spot' that's a favourite to many inhabitants of the city; de Grote Markt! Here, everyday is a welcome for you to have a drink, some good food or a social talk.
 

Six of The Hague's finest cafe's and restaurants surround the Grote Markt; De Zeta, Cocktailbar Vavoom, De Zwarte Ruiter, De September, De Zwarte Ruiter and De Boterwaag. Each with it's own unique entourage and menu.
 

The Grote Markt is marked with a 'PopHotSpot' label, in which there's a collaboration with music venue Paard van Troje. What does this mean? That there is some good live music to enjoy at the Grote Markt, with performances in every genre: pop, rock, jazz, dance... all free of entrance!
