The Hague’s live Hip Hop band, L4 (Looking Forward) will release their debut album “Counting Coins” with a launch party and live concert on 21 March at Paard van Troje in Den Haag. L4 will perform all original songs off their album.

This nine member group, led by three frontmen, MCs Stamina, Mic-Nif, and DNA, has spent the past two years writing and composing original songs together, and polishing their unique sound and stage show. L4 has been described as the United Nations of Hip Hop. Its members come from across Europe, Latin America, and Africa, bringing their own musical influences to the group. The MCs lead this large band in a fresh sound, blending the traditional Hip Hop vibe with classical instruments, crossing over to jazz, reggae, funk, and soul.

L4 is at their best when performing live. Followers of the Dutch music scene will be familiar with L4’s energetic stage presence and imaginative and entertaining performances. The group has performed at numerous concert venues and festivals including two appearances at Park Pop in Den Haag (2008, 2009), Dunya Festival in Rotterdam, and Queen’s Night in Den Haag. As well, TMF plays “Sleep Walking”, their first music video from the “Counting Coins” album. Under management by Ducos, a prominent Rotterdam-based booking agency, L4 signed a record contract with T2 Entertainment to release their debut album.

L4’s members have all been performing for years. MCs Stamina and DNA are known from their former band R.O.O.O.M, which was signed to EMI. Mic-Nif is known from his previous band NuClear Family and from various solo projects.

L4 is ‘looking forward’ to a vibrant launch into 2010. Everyone is invited to get down and join the party at Paard van Troje, Prinsegracht 12, Den Haag on Sunday, 21 March 2010, 19:30 – 23:00.
