The Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) yesterday issued a warning to motorists that roads are likely to be icy all week. There will be new snowfalls and the wet road surfaces will freeze. The KNMI says that a new area of precipitation will be passing over the country today bringing snow and rain. Motorists are warned to check weather forecasts and traffic conditions before leaving.
