V&D in The Hague Evacuated

The department store V&D in the centre of The Hague had to be evacuated briefly on Wednesday morning because of smoke. The fire brigade said that it had been caused by an motor on the ground-floor escalator overheating. Customers were allowed back into the store at 11.00. V&D had to be evacuated two weeks ago because of a small fire.
