Municipal Elections Special

On Wednesday 3 March, local Municipal Elections will take place in the Netherlands. Most EU citizens are eligible to vote as well as non-EU citizens residence in The Netherlands for more that 5 years.

In The Hague municipality around 35,000 International residents are eligible to vote, which is around 10% of the electorate.

As of tomorrow, TheHagueOnLine plans to cover the Municipal Elections by interviewing the leaders of the main political parties in the Hague. Also, we will be providing a daily report of the hottest election issues.

Additionally, we invite all the political parties in the region to send us an English language version of their manifestos which we will place in the Municipal Election Special section of the website. Please send your manifesto to editor@TheHagueOnLine.com.

Please let us know what your major electorate issues are and we will endeavour to get a response from the political parties. Send your question to editor@TheHagueOnLine.com.
