The event attracted large crowds throughout the weekend, thanks in part to the significantly expanded Snowfest Village. This year, it not only offered numerous free activities for visitors of all ages, but also music performances, stalls from local businesses, and inviting food and drink stands. The Snowfest Village was the beating heart of the event.

Joey van der Meer makes history in The Hague

Despite the world’s absolute elite traveling to The Hague, it was 32-year-old Joey van der Meer who convincingly took the win in freestyle skiing on Friday evening. And with that, he made history as the first Dutch winner ever. Or in his own words: “It’s incredible to win here in The Hague, on my own home turf. It’s truly bizarre!”

Katja Dutu’s gold medal in freestyle snowboarding on Saturday also completed the Dutch success. She also won the ‘best trick award’ that evening.
