The Municipality of The Hague supports 22 small-scale public events and festivals with a total amount of €310,000. This is the second round of the Public Events subsidy scheme for 2025. All events will take place from July to December 2025. A total of 26 applications have been submitted.

Alderman Saskia Bruines (Economic Development): “Events and festivals add colour to the city. They provide encounters, fun and a lively atmosphere. They also strengthen the economy of The Hague and show visitors what there is to experience in our beautiful city. I think it is incredibly important to support these initiatives, they are indispensable for a vibrant city like The Hague.”

Something for everyone to enjoy

Well-known names such as the Prinsjesfestival, the Wild Rooster Festival and the Kite Festival Scheveningen return. At the same time, new initiatives are also supported from the subsidy scheme for small-scale events, such as De Opschepperij in the Keizerstraat and the Reggaeton & Latin Festival in the Zuiderpark.

Visitors can enjoy a wide range of music genres: from Latin to country, from jazz to urban. In addition, there are dance workshops, there is room for culinary discoveries and people can get acquainted with the Hague nightlife. For young and old, for residents and visitors – there is something for everyone to experience.
