The municipality of The Hague will replace the asphalt on the Lekstraat from Monday 17 February to Friday 7 March 2025. The asphalt is worn out.

The work will be done on the carriageways and the cycle path on the side of the railway, between Weteringkade and the Ammunitiehaven. During the work, take into account a longer travel time and diversions.

The work will be carried out in 2 phases. From Monday 17 to Friday 28 February, the cycle path (along the railway) and the right lane will be closed. During this phase, there will be no diversions for pedestrians, public transport passengers and motorists. Traffic controllers will regulate car traffic in the Lekstraat and guide traffic along the half-lane closure. For (moped) cyclists, there will be traffic signs in the street with the diversions.

From Monday 3 to 7 March, both lanes in the Lekstraat and the cycle path (along the railway) will be closed to traffic. It is not possible to drive to and from the centre via the Lekstraat, or to drive to and from NS station DH Centraal. (Moped) cyclists use the diversions. Car traffic follows the diversion signs for local or through traffic. There are no diversions for pedestrians.
