During the Night of the Entrepreneur in Pathé Buitenhof last week, the Entrepreneurs Award Haaglanden 2024 was awarded. The award is an initiative of the Entrepreneurs Award Haaglanden Foundation and is awarded to a successful entrepreneur in the Haaglanden region (The Hague, Leidschendam-Voorburg, Pijnacker-Nootdorp, Rijswijk, Wassenaar and Zoetermeer). The jury chose OBS Groep as the winner. Value2u and Brute Bonen were the other finalists.

Nur Icar (alderman MKB), Pieter Scholten (chairman MKB Den Haag and jury member) and the other jury members presented the prize. Icar: “It is great to be able to present the OndernemersPrijs Haaglanden to Oscar van Buijtene of OBS Groep! An enormously innovative and socially involved company. But I am also very proud of all the other entrepreneurs in The Hague and the region. Hard workers, who each contribute to a strong entrepreneurial climate.”

Nominees for the award had to present themselves to the jury by means of a pitch. They then selected three nominees. Among other things, the vision of the company and the economic importance of the entrepreneur for the region were taken into account. The jury then visited the finalists and then selected the winner.

Night and Day of the Entrepreneur

The award was presented during the Night of the Entrepreneur, organised by MKB Den Haag on the eve of the Day of the Entrepreneur on 15 November. The Day of the Entrepreneur is an initiative of MKB-Nederland to thank entrepreneurs for their efforts and to draw attention to the importance of entrepreneurship.
