The 22nd edition of the largest national volunteer campaign will take place on March 13 and 14, 2026.

The Oranje Fonds is looking for jobs and activities for the 22nd edition of NLdoet. This largest national volunteer event will take place on Friday, March 13th and Saturday, March 14th, 2026. Community organizations, foundations, and associations looking for (new) volunteers can register their activities at NLdoet.nl starting November 3rd.

Connected society

The Netherlands is made vibrant by thousands of volunteers active in their streets, neighborhoods, and districts. Without them, organizations and associations like community centers, community gardens, and food banks wouldn’t exist. Together, they contribute to a connected society. Participating in NLdoet offers significant benefits to participating organizations. Volunteers learn about the work, connect with people, and build a bond with the organization’s mission.

Participating organizations, foundations, or associations can apply to the Oranje Fonds for a maximum contribution of €350 for catering or the purchase of materials. Applications can be submitted until January 31, 2026.

Making a difference

Last year, more than 7,200 activities were organized across the country, with over 67,000 participants. From businesses to neighbors to seasoned volunteers, NLdoet is a celebration every year. It’s the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with volunteering and be inspired by the fantastic activities that connect our community. From gardening together, to dancing together, to painting or doing odd jobs together, to having coffee with a stranger. Spending a day like this with others not only improves society, but also your own life,” emphasizes Sandra Jetten, director of the Oranje Fonds.

Caribbean

Thousands of people in the Caribbean part of our Kingdom also participate every year. This takes place during the weekend of May 15th and 16th during ARUBA DOET, BON DOET, CURA DOET, SXM DOET, SABA DOET, and STATIA DOET.

About Oranje Funds

The Oranje Fonds believes that everyone matters. That’s why it’s committed to a society where everyone can participate and no one is alone. In other words, an engaged society; where we care for each other, people have equal opportunities, and feel connected to others in their neighborhood. The fund achieves this by strengthening and connecting social entrepreneurs wherever possible. Support from organizations like the National Postcode Lottery, the Dutch Lottery, Friends of the Netherlands, and various other partners makes this possible. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima are the patrons of the Oranje Fonds.
