Make a difference during the weekend of March 13 and 14

The Oranje Fonds is looking for thousands of people to lend a hand for a day at NLdoet. During the 22nd edition of this national volunteer campaign, numerous activities are being organized throughout the country. At nldoet.nl , you can find local activities and register. Registration is open until the weekend of March 13th and 14th.

People who do something kind for others are indispensable. Together, they contribute to a connected society. Volunteers are active in every neighborhood and district in the Netherlands, and extra hands are needed. From preparing vegetable gardens for spring, to staining or painting sheds and renovating nature areas or playgrounds. There’s also plenty to choose from in the social sphere. Many healthcare and welfare organizations are looking for people who want to make a difference for their residents for a day or part of a day. Play a game, take a walk, have a cup of coffee, or join in the dancing.

Discover it yourself

The Oranje Fonds has been organizing NLdoet for over twenty years. Last year’s event attracted over 60,000 participants. Participants can experience what it’s like to dedicate a day to helping others. It’s not only rewarding for the organization and the people being helped, but also for the participants themselves. Moreover, participants can get to know others, such as neighbors or direct neighbors.

Connected society

Volunteers all make a significant contribution to a connected society. “Life becomes easier when you can turn to someone else. NLdoet gives people the opportunity to experience the many ways they can make a difference. We know from experience that it leads to fantastic encounters and often plants the seed for more volunteering,” says Sandra Jetten, director of the Oranje Fonds.
