Entrepreneurs and property owners of the Haagse Goudsbloemlaan, Kijkduin and Eigenaren Den Haag Centrum have taken the initiative to establish three new business investment zones (BIZ).

A BIZ is a demarcated area, such as a shopping area or business park, within which entrepreneurs and/or owners jointly invest in the quality of the environment. For example, by organizing activities and providing decoration with flower boxes and mood lighting during the holidays.

In addition to the establishment of the new BIZ areas Goudsbloemlaan, Kijkduin and Eigenaren Den Haag Centrum, three existing BIZ areas have been extended: Keizerstraat, business park Westvlietweg and Dierenselaan/Apeldoornselaan eo.

In The Hague, more than 1.3 million euros are being invested by the BIZ areas. In doing so, they make an important contribution to the attractiveness and liveability of our city.

The Hague BIZs

The municipality of The Hague supports the establishment of BIZs. Entrepreneurs and/or owners in a BIZ area draw up a five-year plan and pay a contribution to the municipality.

These contributions are granted annually as a subsidy to the BIZ association or foundation. The Hague has 27 business investment zones, including the establishment of the new BIZs Goudsbloemlaan, Kijkduin and Eigenaren Den Haag Centrum.
