Students at The Hague University of Applied Sciences are once again the most satisfied among the broad universities of applied sciences in the Randstad, according to the results of the 2026 National Student Survey

The university scored particularly well in areas including wellbeing, internationalisation and inclusion, themes that continue to be central to its educational approach. Students who took part in the survey also indicated that their study programmes pay sufficient attention to digitalisation and AI.

“For the fourth year in a row, we have achieved the highest score, showing that students value the quality of education and the choices we make as an institution,” said Arend Hardorff, member of the Executive Board and portfolio holder for Education and Research. “We are in the middle of implementing our educational vision, which makes this appreciation even more meaningful. The strong scores on our profiling themes of wellbeing, internationalisation and inclusion confirm that students genuinely experience this focus. It is also notable that students were asked for the first time this year about digitalisation and AI in their study programme, and The Hague scored well immediately.”

The National Student Survey is an annual nationwide study conducted by Landelijk Centrum Studiekeuze, in which students share their views on different aspects of their programme and institution. The results are used to help prospective students choose suitable study programmes through Studiekeuze123. Universities and universities of applied sciences also use the outcomes to further improve and develop their education.
