The Hague film talent wanted! On the occasion of the NATO summit, the municipality and partners are organizing activities for the residents of The Hague about peace and justice: the Road to Summit . Film competition Through the Hague Lens is one of them. We invite everyone in The Hague to creatively create a cinematic and hopeful message about peace and justice.

Alderman Saskia Bruines (Culture): “The Hague is brimming with film talent. I look forward to all the creative entries about our international city of peace and justice. Maybe your film will premiere soon in the Flora film theater!”

Whether you are an experienced filmmaker or just enjoy making videos with your phone: everyone is welcome to join in. Filmmaker Joosje Duk and presenter Nora Akachar – well-known residents of The Hague who support the project – encourage all residents of The Hague to tell their unique story and make their voices heard.

Show your creative vision

Joosje and Nora: “We are looking for short films or animations of maximum three minutes, in which hope for world peace is central and in which you portray The Hague recognizably and creatively as an international city of peace and justice. Use storytelling, inspiring images from the city or perhaps Hague humor to reinforce your positive message.”
