On 10 September, from 18.30 to 22.00, the Workcafé at The Social Hub The Hague will host Out of Office Drinks: Kai Mata’s Bad Boy Era – a collaboration with Justice and Peace, Holland Park Media, and our event host Kai Mata.
Kai Mata is an Indonesian singer-songwriter whose music weaves vivid storytelling with captivating melodies, blending folk, pop, and traditional influences into songs that resonate long after the final note. With every performance, she invites listeners into a soundscape that is both personal and expansive, affirming music’s power to move, inspire, and unite.This edition also carries a cause: it’s a fundraiser for Bali’s Underground Pride Event, where Kai is a founding committee member. In a country that still deems queer identities as moral aberrations, this grassroots Pride movement creates a vital space for Indonesians to experience queer joy as resistance.
Tickets are free, but we encourage donations to support the fundraiser. Come for the first drink (on the house), stay for the music, the conversations, the community – and a chance to make a difference.
