The concert program “Passio in Miniature” features only two singers and two suitcase organs. Soprano Johannette Zomer, mezzo-soprano Cécile van de Sant, and organ brothers Euwe and Sybolt de Jong will perform “Tilge, Höchster, meine Sünden” (BWV 1083) , Bach’s rarely performed arrangement of Pergolesi’s famous Stabat Mater , on Sunday afternoon, March 22, 2026, at the Lutheran Church in The Hague.

At the heart of the programme is Bach’s BWV 1083, Tilge, Höchster, meine Sünden, his Lutheran reworking of Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, complemented by movements from Bach’s Orchestral Suites. The performance explores two spiritual perspectives on the Passion: Pergolesi’s expression of Mary’s sorrow at the cross and Bach’s meditation on guilt, repentance and forgiveness. With just two voices and two compact kofferharmoniums, the result is a transparent, warm and deeply contemplative sound world.
The concert tours several Dutch cities between 15 March and 1 April 2026, including performances in Kampen, Enschede, Zutphen, The Hague, Helmond, Zwolle, Amsterdam, Utrecht and Groningen.
For The Hague audiences, the concert takes place during the Passion season as part of this national tour.
Passio in Miniatuur offers a stripped-back, reflective musical experience that invites listeners to pause and enter the Passion story in an intimate and personal way.
