The flower parade moves from Westland across the water through Midden-Delfland, Maassluis, Delft and Rijswijk. Three days of sailing delight the thousands of spectators who flock to the parade each year.

With the theme ‘One Big Adventure’, Varend Corso Westland is taking an innovative approach this year. Whereas in previous years participants were completely free to choose their own subject, this year the boats are part of one overarching story. Each entry represents its own chapter, while all the chapters together form one great journey.
The adventure begins with an old map, a pair of binoculars, a suitcase and a compass. A mysterious figure invites the adventurers to set off on a voyage of discovery. Full of anticipation, they leave the safe harbour behind and set course for the unknown. What follows is a journey full of wonder, with a new adventure waiting around every bend.
Along the way, the travellers encounter impressive sea creatures, sail past mysterious islands and discover exotic destinations full of colour, music and special traditions. They visit hidden temples, search for secret treasures and cross dangerous bridges. In tropical jungles they meet wild animals and wise advisers, while magical flower fields, enchanted objects and ancient secrets cross their path.
But, of course, a great adventure does not unfold without setbacks. The explorers are confronted with raging rapids, dangerous traps, pirates, snake pits and mysterious curses. They get lost in a maze of mirrors, must escape from captivity and face enormous sea monsters. Time and again, cooperation, friendship, courage and perseverance prove to be the key to success.
Yet it is not only the dangers that make this journey special. Amid all the challenges, the adventurers also discover beautiful places. They rest in a hidden oasis, admire a dazzling rainbow bridge, find a hidden paradise and enter a crystal palace where the sunlight reflects in thousands of colours. Each boat adds a new chapter to the story and brings the audience closer to the conclusion.
Eventually, the adventurers reach their final destination: a legendary golden city. But even then, one final test awaits before they can return home. Only after they have proven their courage, friendship and cooperation can they make their triumphant journey home. Rich in experiences, they are welcomed by their loved ones and the adventure comes to an end.
With this innovative format, Varend Corso Westland offers visitors more than a collection of individual creations this year. Along the route, a complete story unfolds chapter by chapter, with all participants working together to bring one great fantasy world to life. A world full of discoveries, challenges and wonder. A world in which everyone is ultimately swept up in One Big Adventure.
