Following its highly successful 25th anniversary year featuring two sold-out autumn concerts, the ZSO (Zuid-hollands Symfonie Orkest), a local amateur orchestra conducted by Dominic Sierat that performs to a high standard and features a mix of Dutch and expat musicians, is delighted to announce its 2026 Spring Concert on Saturday 11th April at 20:15 in the Noorderkerk, Schuytstraat 9, 2517 XB Den Haag.
The concert will start with the famous tone poem “The Moldau” by Smetana.
Next up a rarely performed but highly entertaining piece, the Concert Piece for Four Horns by Schumann. The soloists are highly established professionals with outstanding reputations: Hans van der Zanden, Pierre Buizer, Jan Harshagen and Eric Borninkhof
After the interval the orchestra will play another rarely heard work that deserves to be performed more often, the dramatic and captivating First Symphony by Vassily Kalinnikov.
