Last year, this documentary was shown in the Omniversum in The Hague. Did you miss it? Another chance is coming up in Driebergen-Rijsenburg.
Indigenous and non-Indigenous voices will come together in a meaningful dialogue – Myra Collis, Jan van de Venis, Semuel Sahureka, Jessica den Outer, Patricia Pattinama, and Her Royal Highness Princess Irene van Lippe-Biesterfeld of the Netherlands. 🦋
This kind of conversation is an opportunity not only to understand our differences, but even more so to recognize our shared humanity, learn from one another, and find common ground in a world that urgently needs to reconnect with wisdom, community, and nature.🙏
We get to explore:
🌿 What does it mean to be Indigenous in the Netherlands?
🌿 How can we reconnect with global Indigenous wisdom and our respective ancestral values?
🌿 What can we learn from Indigenous ways of knowing?
🌿 Why is this more important now than ever?
The evening will begin with a foreword by Jelle de Jong (Director of WWF-NL), followed by a film screening of KIVA: The Call of the Wisdom Keepers by filmmaker Marijke Kodden and a Water Ceremony led by Patricia Pattinama.
