2 Dec 2025: Communicate with impact

Many of the challenges that we face at work stem from communication issues. Lack of support from your boss
or other stakeholders, poor collaboration within the team and across silos, difficulties with some clients or
suppliers… Not only is it frustrating but the consequences can be severe: delays in important initiatives,
inability to bring new products to market, safety risks… all with an impact on the bottom line.

As organizations are getting more complex, communicating with impact so you can mobilize others becomes a
key skill. If you’d like to foster collaboration and grow your career or your business through compelling
communication, this webinar is for you.

The masterclass will take place on the 2nd of December 2025, from 12h30 to 14h00 – Paris Time.

3 Feb 2026: Strategic networking

Here are some common challenges when it comes to networking:

  • Maybe you see networking as schmoozing, and you don’t want to become that way.
  • Perhaps you have neglected your network, and you’re unsure how to revive it.
  • Or you have a pretty good network, but not one that can truly help you for your new target.
  • Besides, you’re probably very busy, and you’re afraid of the time commitment.
  • Or you have a hard time approaching people, especially with the idea that you’re trying to get something from them.

It doesn’t have to be that way. You can change the way you approach networking, and it will change the game for your career or your business. Learn how to quickly create the power base you need to open doors – even if you hate networking!

2 Apr 2026: Shine at the interview

Whether you want to get promoted or to land a job in another organization, the interview is usually a key step.

However, depending on the context and the interviewer, being able to answer in a compelling way to every question is a challenge.

The vast majority of interview advice and training mostly give you a long list of generic questions to prepare and standard questions to ask to make a good impression.

Not only is this approach artificial but it does not enable you to differentiate yourself since everyone uses more or less the same basic sources and advice.

Besides, it is impossible to anticipate every question. Therefore, when you get an unexpected question, it’s easy to feel lost and, from then on, you’re on slippery ground.

Lastly, it makes you sound scripted whereas you need to be good « in the moment ».

If you want to shine whatever question comes up, traditional approaches are no longer enough. This webinar will enable you to go further by giving you the underlying principles of communication behind a successful interview. So that you can answer with ease and poise whatever the question, even the trickiest one.

The principles we will cover in this webinar have enabled senior executives, managers and high-level specialists to land remarkable jobs in coveted organizations – even in the challenging circumstances of a career change.

The masterclass will take place on the 2nd of April 2026, from 12:30 to 14:00 Paris time.

2 Jun 2026: Clarify your strengths and your direction

Do you have doubts about your professional choices? Are those doubts fed by the challenge to mobilize some key people in your organization?

In such situations, it can be tempting to put everything into question. However, when we’ve reached a certain level of success in your career, the risks associated with change quickly take over. As a consequence, we tend to turn in circles.

It doesn’t have to be that way. By improving your self-awareness, you can identify more specifically the parts of yourself to express more and the reasons why communication with some people is challenging. Hence, you can adjust your direction effectively while avoiding rash decisions.

If you aspire to more meaningful work, this webinar will help you to better see your strengths and to determine how to use them, so you can advance your career in a way that’s more in line with who you are and with the support of others.

The webinar includes a free personality assessment, a report on your main personality traits, and complementary resources. You will receive them after registration. Please check them out before the webinar to make the most of our time together.

The masterclass will take place on the 2nd of June 2026, from 12:30 to 14:00 – Paris Time.

The Municipality of The Hague helps internationals find jobs in healthcare

The Municipality of The Hague helps internationals find jobs in healthcare

Supporting internationals with a healthcare background in finding work more quickly and thus contributing to a solution for the healthcare staff shortage: that is the aim of the “International Professionals in Healthcare” project, launched by the municipality of The Hague. Candidates are matched with employers through speed dating. Collaboration is also taking place with educational institutions and other partners in the city. This includes opportunities for further training, learning Dutch, and lowering barriers to credential evaluation. Currently, over 100 people are participating in the project, and 19 candidates have been supported in finding jobs.

Aldermen Nur Icar (Employment) and Mariëlle Vavier (Newcomers and Care) attended a speed dating session at Respect, an employer in elderly care. Alderman Nur Icar: “It’s fantastic that this project connects international professionals with healthcare backgrounds with employers. These candidates are often very driven to get started and possess a wealth of knowledge. Knowledge we need to utilize because there are significant shortages in socially crucial sectors, such as healthcare. This is truly a win-win situation!”

Alderwoman Mariëlle Vavier: “This project is about more than just finding work in healthcare. It’s about enabling international students to participate in The Hague society from day one. They’re eager to contribute and get started. By learning Dutch together, meeting each other, and finding their way to truly suitable work, participants are not only building a future in healthcare but also a strong connection to our city.”

Education-Labor Market-Business Connection Program

The “International Professionals in Healthcare” project is part of the Education-Labor Market-Business Connection program. In this approach, the municipality of The Hague collaborates with employers, educational institutions, and (social) partners in the city and region to reduce shortages and mismatches in the labor market.

Third progress report on the Employment and Participation Policy Plan

Recently, many other efforts have been made to promote employment and participation in The Hague. For example, Haaglanden Leert Door (The Hague Learns On) was launched at the end of last year to offer residents in our labor market region a better position in the labor market through retraining and further training. New partnerships with employers and organizations have also been established.

Due to the tight labor market, we’re seeing residents finding work more easily on their own. Those currently receiving social assistance generally face a significant distance to the labor market. We’re adapting our services accordingly. For example, we’re increasingly focusing on eliminating or managing problems that hinder reintegration, development, and training.

All results for the second half of 2024 can be found in the third progress report on the Employment and Participation Policy Plan for The Hague .

From Brazil to The Hague: A Dream in the Making

From Brazil to The Hague: A Dream in the Making

This article has been submitted by Sofia Siqueira, who has lived in The Hague for the last year. Sofia was here to follow a Masters in Public Administration at Leiden University and also was part of The Social Hub (TSH) Talent Foundation Changemaker’s Programme. She is currently looking for a work opportunities – contact details below.

It’s incredible how just a few months can reshape who we are.

My story with The Hague began when I was still a bachelor’s student in Brazil, admiring international organizations from afar and wondering if one day those global discussions would feel closer to me. I had always dreamed of studying abroad and pursuing a master’s degree after graduation. In my final year, I started researching programs and chose Public Administration because of my longstanding interest in the administrative aspects of International Relations, particularly how projects and policies are managed.

Scholarships and Surprises

In 2023, I applied to four master’s programs. However, the high prices for non-EU students and the exchange rate currencies made studying abroad impossible for me. So, I applied for scholarships. After landing on various waiting lists, I began to lose hope and even started making new plans.

That’s when, in April, I received an email: I had been awarded the LExS Scholarship from Leiden University. It is offered to students with outstanding academic records and clear motivation for their chosen program. With that, my dream began to take shape.

Enter The Social Hub: A New Opportunity

Just as I was celebrating this achievement, things took an even better turn. I received another email from the University, this time introducing me to The Social Hub’s TSH Talent Foundation and the Changemaker’s Program. This initiative supports academic excellence, leadership, and professional development through mentorship, networking, innovation, and collaboration. Moreover, it also provides housing for the scholars!

Another round of motivation letters, applications, and waiting began. Long story short: after thinking everything was lost at the start of 2024, by July I had two scholarships and a brand-new chapter of life waiting for me. (This is also how I met Renée, who is my mentor in the program. I’m incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to write this today!)

Living the Dream

This year marks a journey of independence and the realization of many dreams. As a child, I always told my parents that I wanted to see the world, meet new people, and explore different cultures. Every day here feels like a dream come true.

I feel incredibly lucky to live in a city like The Hague, surrounded by the international organizations I once studied. It’s amazing to witness all of this with my own eyes and to share this experience with classmates from around the world.

Growth, Challenges, and Accomplishments

When I look back at the person who arrived here 10 months ago, I see so many changes. I’ve grown more confident academically, become comfortable talking to “strangers,” and created memories with people who have become an essential part of my life.

The saying “time flies when you’re having fun” couldn’t be truer. In such a short time, I completed multiple courses, submitted a thesis (where I explored how issue salience and government legitimacy influence local politicians’ motivation to prioritize environmental issues), and gained insight into their decision-making processes. I’ve traveled to many new places, survived the Dutch winter, and met incredible people along the way. Above all, I feel more like myself than ever before.

At TechFest @ The Hague Tech in January 2025, invited by TSH Talent Foundation mentor Renee, and meeting others at the event

Looking Ahead: Hope and Uncertainty

Nonetheless, I find myself in a moment of uncertainty right now. I’m applying to many internships, traineeships, and junior positions, mainly in the areas of project management, administration, and roles connected to environmental issues and education, which align with both my experience and interests. Still, breaking into the job market has been challenging, and getting an interview feels like a victory.

Even so, I remain hopeful. I truly believe that the right opportunity will come at the right time. For now, I’m committed to continuing this journey in the Netherlands, embracing whatever the next chapter holds and enjoying every moment of what was a dream some months before. The future may be uncertain, but it is full of possibility.

Let’s Connect!

I’m currently looking for job opportunities or internships in the Netherlands in areas related to project management, administration, sustainability, and/or education. If you know of any openings or want to connect, please reach out viawww.linkedin.com/in/sofia-siqueira-254221102
